photo aÈrienne de fort boyard. Le fort a ÈtÈ conÁu afin de protÈger la rade de l'Óle d'Aix et l'arsenal de Rochefort. NapolÈon avait dÈcidÈ que le fort serait ÈlevÈ aux portes d'un des plus prÈcieux arsenaux de l'Empire, sur le banc de sable de la "longe de Boyard". La construction commence en 1837 et finira en 1857. Patrimoine de la Charente-Maritime. Le fort boyard est dÈsormais cÈlebre pour son jeu de tÈlÈvision. joyau architectural.
